Watching season 1 of Girls because I see so many negative opinions of the show and of Lena Dunham. So far though I quite like it. The characters all remind me of women I know. In that respect, it’s not the gender/race/cultural failure so many people make it out to be.

I wrote into Gwynnie Bee a few days ago recommending they add more retro/rockabilly/vintage type stuff since I know a ton of Tumblr chicks who would totally be into that. I suggested Lady V London and Pinup Girl Clothing as potential partners.
The rep gave me a very prompt response saying she had passed the recs onto their buyer.

Fat and sad.
Had a pre-wedding hair trial tonight and hated EVERYTHING. She tried several different updos, and my face looked so fat and jowly. But my hair isn’t really long enough to do a pretty/formal look down.
My mom pressured me into getting a more “traditional” style dress — she ordered it two sizes too small then made me take it to a tailor to have it taken out....

How awesome would it be to have a clothing store that made it easy to see styles that would look good on your body shape? Instead of “Regular Sizes” “Petites” “Plus Sizes,” I’m envisioning a multitude of sizes, but divided up between hourglass, thin, pear, apple, curvy, round, athletic, etc.
And the signage above each section of the store would be real...
